Job summary

People with Energy is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to lead cost, schedule, risk and change management on a nationally significant nuclear energy programme. You will deliver performance reports, forecasts and variance analyses, while coordinating with supply chain partners to assure robust project controls.

The ideal candidate has proven experience on major infrastructure projects, strong Earned Value Management knowledge, and excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Controls Engineer on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge across cost, planning, risk, change and performance management.
• Sound understanding of Earned Value Management.
• Experience managing stakeholders within complex matrix organisations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Nuclear, energy or major infrastructure experience is desirable.

Project Controls Engineer - Nuclear Energy

Take the lead on project controls for a nationally significant programme and help shape the future of the nuclear energy sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Controls professional to join a high-performing team delivering complex infrastructure projects. You will work across cost, schedule, risk, change and performance, providing the insights that drive effective decision-making and successful project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate project controls across cost, schedule, risk and change management.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Project Controls Engineer on major infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge across cost, planning, risk, change and performance management.

• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.


• Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Finance, Business or a related discipline.


• Nuclear, energy or major infrastructure experience is desirable.


• Experience with Power BI, NEC/FIDIC contracts or project controls systems is advantageous.
