Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Controls Consultant in the United Kingdom to lead the planning, integration and control of large energy programs. You will guide project teams, mentor colleagues and apply strong technical and commercial judgment to deliver high-quality controls services.

You will design and improve control systems, oversee data quality in CDEs, and support risk and cost management with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to lead project controls delivery with limited supervision and strong professional judgement.
• Strong communication skills with confidence in engaging client teams.
• Understanding of project or programme management in design/engineering/construction.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and Office 365; experience with planning, cost or risk tools.
• Experience in dashboard and reporting tools such as Power BI / Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, integration and control of complex energy projects across the full lifecycle, applying advanced project controls methodologies.
• Review key insights from programme data, resource-loaded schedules and oversee progress measurement and forecasting activities.
• Design, implement and improve project control systems, governance processes and digital tools.
• Manage project information strategies within Common Data Environments and ensure data quality and digital deliverables.
• Support risk identification, assessment and mitigation planning with senior stakeholders.
• Oversee cost control, budgeting, forecasting, earned value management and data integration.
• Facilitate planning sessions and workshops to align teams and resolve constraints.
• Provide portfolio level insight through reporting, KPI development and dashboards.
• Champion digital tools, predictive analytics and performance dashboards for better decisions.
• Manage change control with documentation, traceability and governance.
• Build productive relationships with internal teams, client organisations and senior stakeholders.
