Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Controls Consultant to lead and shape high‑quality project controls services across major energy programmes. You will provide direction to project teams, mentor junior colleagues and apply strong technical and commercial judgement.

Role spans governance, data quality, dashboards, and risk/cost integration, with senior stakeholder engagement and a focus on delivering sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to lead project controls delivery with limited supervision and strong judgement.
• Strong communication skills with confidence in engaging client teams.
• Understanding of project/programme management, design, engineering or construction environments.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and Office 365; experience with planning, cost or risk tools is advantageous.
• Experience in dashboard and reporting tools such as Power BI / Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, integration and control of complex energy projects across the full lifecycle using advanced project controls methodologies.
• Review and forecast using programme data, resource-loaded schedules, and progress measurement.
• Design and improve project control systems, governance processes and digital tools.
• Manage information strategies within Common Data Environments and ensure data quality and deliverables.
• Support risk management including risk identification, assessment and mitigation planning.
• Oversee cost control processes including budgeting, forecasting, earned value, and data integration.
• Facilitate planning sessions to align delivery teams and resolve constraints.
• Provide portfolio-level insights through reporting, KPI development and dashboards.
• Champion digital tools and predictive analytics to inform decisions.
• Manage change control with proper documentation and governance.
• Build relationships with internal teams, clients and senior stakeholders.
