Job summary

SPX FLOW in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project Controller to partner with Project Managers and cross-functional teams, delivering financial insight across major projects in the EMEA region. You will combine cost, revenue, margin, cash flow and risk data to enable informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Head of Project Controls, EMEA & AMER, you will lead budget and forecast processes, challenge assumptions, maintain WBS structures, monitor milestones,

Qualifications

• Five+ years in project controlling, cost control or related discipline.
• Degree in engineering, accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of project financials: budgeting, revenue, cash flow, milestones.
• Advanced Excel with ERP experience; SAP preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel up to quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers and Finance to provide a forward-looking view of project performance, including revenue, margin, cost, cash flow, progress, risks and opportunities.
• Lead the financial control of assigned projects from baseline development through execution and close-out, maintaining budgets, forecasts and estimates at completion.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identify variances and translate into recommendations and mitigation actions.
• Facilitate project performance and risk reviews, challenge assumptions, reflect risks, contingencies and opportunities in forecasts.
• Own cost and revenue phasing and support accurate project profit-and-loss forecasting, including updates of period costs and spend.
• Track contractual milestones and stage gates to support timely customer invoicing and stronger cash performance.
• Establish and maintain WBS, cost coding and project control documentation in line with requirements.
• Review project terms, including milestone billing and change orders, to identify exposure and potential changes.
• Coordinate change-control activities, budgeting and maintenance of the change log.
• Coordinate budgets across legal entities, ensuring responsibilities are aligned.
• Prepare internal and customer reports using SAP, B4HANA, Power BI, Excel and related tools.
• Protect data integrity and support audit requirements through accurate reconciliations and explanations.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve Project Controls standards and tools.
