Job summary

Leonardo in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project Controller to develop and maintain Integrated Plans covering scope, schedule, cost, resources and risk in line with contractual milestones. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting governance, IBRs and performance reporting in secure environments.

The role requires Primavera P6 experience, EVM knowledge, and experience integrating schedule, cost, and risk data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in Primavera P6 aligned with contractual milestones.
• Define integrated schedules, resource plans, and time-phased cost allocation.
• Establish and maintain WBS/OBS/RAM and planning structures.
• Ensure schedule integrity, critical path visibility, and milestone alignment.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and recovery planning as needed.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and KPI reporting for programme delivery.
• Support governance reviews and client reporting, including IBRs.

Salary Range

£48,000 - £60,000

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Your impact

As Senior Project Controller you will develop and maintain integrated plans covering scope, schedule, cost, resources, and risk, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones, budget constraints, and defence governance standards.

Working within an established, multi-disciplinary team

you’ll be supporting programme governance, performance measurement, audit readiness and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) within secure environments.

Integrated Planning

• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in Primavera P6 aligned with contractual milestones
• Define integrated schedules, resource plans, and time-phased cost allocation
• Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), control accounts, and planning structures
• Ensure schedule integrity, critical path visibility, and milestone alignment
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and recovery planning where required

Project Controls & Performance

• Implement structured project controls frameworks aligned with defence best practice
• Establish and maintain scope, schedule, and cost baselines
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance analysis (CPI, SPI, ETC, EAC)
• Monitor progress, resources, workload, and budget performance
• Produce KPI reporting and support corrective actions to maintain programme delivery

Governance & Programme Support

• Support bidding and early programme planning, including schedule and budget definition
• Analyse contractual requirements and support risk management activities
• Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), governance reviews, and client reporting
• Maintain programme control documentation including PMB, risk registers, and assumptions logs

What You’ll Bring

• Primavera P6 experience
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Experience in integrating schedule, cost, and risk data
• Experience working in secure defence environments
• Project controls experience within defence, aerospace, or regulated industries
• Experience supporting complex programmes or system-of-systems environment

It would be advantageous if you have the following

• APMG Project Controls Applied Knowledge
• Understanding of MOD governance frameworks
• SAP experience
