Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Project Controller to lead integrated planning across scope, schedule, cost, resources and risk within a defence-focused programme. You will develop IMS in Primavera P6, establish baselines, support EVM and governance reviews, and work within secure environments to ensure milestone alignment and programme delivery.

You'll join a multidisciplinary team, contribute to IBRs and client reporting, and operate under National Security Vetting requirements with a focus on

• Experience with Primavera P6 and integrated planning.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience in secure defence environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) aligned with contractual milestones.
• Define integrated schedules, resource plans, and time-phased cost allocation.
• Establish and maintain WBS, OBS, RAM, control accounts and planning structures.
• Ensure schedule integrity, critical path visibility, and milestone alignment.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and recovery planning where required.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance analysis (CPI, SPI, ETC, EAC).
• Monitor progress, resources, workload, and budget performance.
• Produce KPI reporting and support corrective actions to maintain programme delivery.
• Support bidding and early programme planning, including schedule and budget definition.
• Analyse contractual requirements and support risk management activities.
• Support IBRs, governance reviews, and client reporting.
• Maintain programme control documentation including PMB, risk registers, and assumptions logs.

Your impact As Senior Project Controller you will develop and maintain integrated plans covering scope, schedule, cost, resources, and risk, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones, budget constraints, and defence governance standards.

Working within an established, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll be supporting programme governance, performance measurement, audit readiness and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) within secure environments.

Integrated Planning

• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in Primavera P6 aligned with contractual milestones
• Define integrated schedules, resource plans, and time-phased cost allocation
• Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), control accounts, and planning structures
• Ensure schedule integrity, critical path visibility, and milestone alignment
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and recovery planning where required

Project Controls & Performance

• Implement structured project controls frameworks aligned with defence best practice
• Establish and maintain scope, schedule, and cost baselines
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance analysis (CPI, SPI, ETC, EAC)
• Monitor progress, resources, workload, and budget performance
• Produce KPI reporting and support corrective actions to maintain programme delivery

Governance & Programme Support

• Support bidding and early programme planning, including schedule and budget definition
• Analyse contractual requirements and support risk management activities
• Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), governance reviews, and client reporting
• Maintain programme control documentation including PMB, risk registers, and assumptions logs

What You’ll Bring

• Primavera P6 experience
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Experience in integrating schedule, cost, and risk data
• Experience working in secure defence environments
• Project controls experience within defence, aerospace, or regulated industries
• Experience supporting complex programmes or system-of-systems environment

It would be advantageous if you have the following

• APMG Project Controls Applied Knowledge
• Understanding of MOD governance frameworks
• SAP experience

This role will require National Security Vetting to SC level. It is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
