Job summary

Vertex Associates is partnering with a leading engineering and design business to hire a Senior Project Accountant on a permanent basis.

The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the office. You will review monthly results, analyze metrics, and provide recommendations to improve performance. You will lead project controls reporting, manage risk, and support project accounting across the cost centre.

Qualifications

• Finalist or newly qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Experience in fast-paced international consulting, preferably eng/construction.
• Experience with WIP and project accounting.
• Able to communicate with financial and non-financial people.
• Strong customer service ethic and attention to detail.
• Structured, organized, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly results and analyze metrics to drive performance.
• Act as main contact for stakeholders and promote best practices.
• Maintain risk register and escalate issues when needed.
• Attend project and business reviews for managed cost centres.
• Provide coverage for other project accountants during leave.
• Lead special projects and reporting for project controls.
