Overview

Our client – one of the UKs top retailers – are looking for a Senior Programme Manager to join them on a contract basis.

They are looking for someone who can inspire and lead a strategic step change through a multi-year Fulfilment Transformation across technology, physical infrastructure, operational processes and people of circa £50m over 4 years, delivering significant annualised benefit over the lifecycle.

Benefits scoping and delivery tracking will form a key part of the role.

They will need to ensure the successful implementation of multiple strategic change projects across Fulfilment including technology transformation of order management, picking and last mile routing, process and people change, physical network change, Electric vehicle rollout and cost control activity; successfully integrate new projects as business planning develops.

Responsibilities

Ensure the Fulfilment transformation programme is fully docked into the wider Online value stream vision and aligned to the clients strategic goals and ESG targets.
Establish and set up the multi year programme, programme governance & delivery plan.
Accountable for management and reporting of all costs and benefits.
Accountable for creation and delivery of the end to end transformation plan, including business implementation.
Accountable for ensuring business continuity and security while landing of the transformation.
Ensure development of a successful and complete Business Transition approach (led by Change Lead).
Accountable for the successful landing of inbound/outbound dependencies.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-divisional peers identifying and managing dependencies.
Inspire, motivate & develop a high performing diverse team with clear roles.

Qualifications

Essential: Grocery Retailing, with a focus on online and fulfilment (final mile) experience for all of the following:
Delivering multi-year complex programmes, encompassing technology, business change & cultural challenges.
Proven experience of leading technology and network focused change and transformation programmes.
Significant resilience and ability to cut through / work in a complex environment.
Managing multiple third parties and internal teams - technology, digital product, central fulfilment, operational and consultancies
Working at an Executive/Senior Team level.
Experience working with matrix operating models and teams of sizes of 150+
Management of budgets of £50m+
Experience working in large businesses of turnover ranging from £5-12bn.
Delivering change across all aspects of online (technology, shops and CFCs)
Delivering major change and system replatforms across order management system (OMS), online picking, quick commerce picking and fulfilment network design
