Job summary

Groupe Adéquat UK (GA UK) is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of public sector, infrastructure, estates, and construction programmes from our UK base. You will harmonise delivery across multiple projects, ensure alignment with strategy, and manage senior stakeholder engagement to drive outcomes.

Working with the PMO, clients, contractors, and delivery teams, you will embed governance, monitor risk, and deliver through robust reporting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Significant programme or senior project management experience within public sector, infrastructure, construction, estates, or related environments.
• Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams within a programme structure.
• Strong knowledge of programme governance, reporting frameworks, and risk management processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance quality, cost, risk, and programme objectives.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the delivery of multiple projects within a wider programme framework.
• Ensure programmes are delivered against agreed objectives, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Embed and maintain effective programme governance, reporting, and risk management processes.
• Build strong relationships with public sector clients, government agencies, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage programme-level risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls.
• Work collaboratively with PMO and project teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and prioritisation.
• Monitor programme performance, reporting on key milestones and KPIs to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across programme delivery, governance, and reporting practices.
• Support strategic decision-making through accurate programme analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
