Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a senior secondment in the Youth Custody Service to design, deliver and govern a major programme. The role involves leading governance with senior officials across government and coordinating across HMPPS and MoJ to meet milestones and budgets.

Responsibilities include delivering new capabilities, engaging ministers and officials, and establishing rigour in programme management across the lifecycle. Hybrid working is available; civil service eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex programmes.
• Ability to create programme structures and lead cross-organisational teams.
• Experience designing governance with senior officials.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage the programme on behalf of the Senior Responsible Owner.
• Manage the PAVA Monitoring and Oversight Board.
• Implement the recommendations of the Trowler Review.
• Support the Feltham A Improvement Plan.
• Lead programme and project management practice in HMPPS and MoJ, engaging across government.
