Job summary

SRG is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a pharmaceutical manufacturing portfolio. You will balance timelines, budgets, and quality while leading cross-functional teams across Development, Operations, Quality and Finance.

You’ll act as the main client contact from kick-off to completion and help shape best practices within the PM function. You’ll bring solid pharma industry experience, GMP awareness, and a proven ability to manage client relationships in a project management capacity.

Qualifications

• Requires solid pharmaceutical industry experience and a proven track record in project management for complex programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and expectations at multiple organisational levels.
• Experience with contract manufacturing or CRO environments is highly desirable.
• GMP and regulatory landscape awareness is essential.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of client projects, balancing scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Serve as main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear, proactive updates.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and risk logs.
• Identify scope changes early and work with clients on mitigations.
• Monitor project finances and contribute to revenue reporting.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and improve ways of working.

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing business, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity to sit at the heart of the business - bridging the gap between customers and site teams, steering high-value projects from kick-off through to completion.

About the Role

You’ll be the go-to person for a portfolio of client projects, balancing timescales, budgets and quality standards while keeping everyone pulling in the same direction. Expect plenty of variety, working alongside Business Development, R&D, Operations, Quality and Finance on projects spanning process development, GMP manufacturing and beyond.

Your Day-to-Day

• Running several projects at once, keeping a close eye on scope, timelines, budgets and key milestones
• Being the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and confident every step of the way
• Building and maintaining clear, well-organised project documentation and risk logs
• Spotting problems - and scope changes - before they become issues, and working with clients to find a way forward
• Keeping track of project finances and feeding into revenue reporting
• Supporting and developing newer members of the team
• Helping shape better ways of working across the wider project management function

What You’ll Bring

• Solid experience gained within the pharmaceutical industry
• A strong track record managing client relationships in a Project Management capacity
• Time spent working within contract manufacturing or a CRO environment
• Confidence leading cross-functional teams and getting buy-in from stakeholders at every level
• A good grasp of GMP and the regulatory landscape
• A relevant science-based degree
• Formal project management training or certification would be an advantage
• Comfortable using standard project management and office software
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to hold your own in a room full of stakeholders
