Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our Accounting organization. As a key member of the UK and Global Accounting team, this individual will be based in London. The successful candidate will have experience in financial reporting, system and process design, project management, and internal controls.

This role supports Amazon’s global business initiatives in consumer products and process automation. The leader will collaborate with global financial systems, accounting operations, tax, and other teams, representing the accounting organization to stakeholders. The position involves partnering with operational accounting and business finance to develop strategic solutions supporting high growth through launch methodology, training, and tool creation.

The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and complexity while supporting multiple project launches impacting the global accounting organization. They should have sufficient finance and accounting experience to identify reporting needs, understand system interactions, and incorporate internal controls into systems or tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, including risk communication to senior leadership.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in similar roles within large public companies or accounting firms, with demonstrated leadership in complex challenges.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and support projects for Amazon's business and development teams, focusing on new product design and financial system setup.
• Deliver complex cross-functional projects.
• Identify and communicate project risks to senior leadership with recommendations.
• Own process improvement initiatives for new business launches and existing processes, defining scope and goals.
