Job summary

DWF is seeking an experienced Adjuster / Insurance Professional to join the Professional Indemnity Claims Team. You will manage a varied portfolio of UK PI claims across solicitors, construction professionals, IFAs, accountants, surveyors and other professions, delivering cradle‑to‑grave claims handling with integrity and sound judgement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience handling UK Professional Indemnity claims from notification through to resolution.
• Strong technical knowledge of Professional Indemnity insurance and policy wording interpretation.
• Experience managing routine and complex high‑value claims with escalation where needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of UK Professional Indemnity claims from notification through to resolution.
• Review and investigate claim notifications, correspondence and technical documentation to assess liability and strategy.
• Interpret policy wordings and identify potential coverage issues.
• Apply claims-made principles, exclusions, conditions, aggregation and deductibles in assessments.
• Handle both routine and technically complex matters with sound judgment.
• Escalate when needed and provide clear recommendations to insurers.
• Negotiate and settle claims where appropriate with accurate financial administration.
• Build effective relationships with insurers, brokers, insureds and stakeholders while delivering excellent service.
