Job summary

DWF is seeking an experienced Adjuster / Insurance Professional to join the Professional Indemnity Claims Team in the United Kingdom. You will manage a varied portfolio of UK Professional Indemnity claims, from notification through to resolution, applying technical knowledge of PI insurance and policy wording interpretation.

The role offers remote working with occasional travel to a local office for client meetings or team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience handling UK Professional Indemnity claims from notification through to resolution.
• Strong knowledge of Professional Indemnity insurance, including policy coverage and wording interpretation.
• Understanding of claims-made principles, exclusions, conditions, aggregation and excess/deductible issues.
• Experience managing routine and technically complex or high-value claims.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to escalate when needed.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, capable of independent work on a varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of UK Professional Indemnity claims from notification through to resolution.
• Review correspondence and technical documentation to assess liability and resolution strategy.
• Interpret policy wordings and identify potential coverage issues.
• Apply claims-made principles and policy provisions in assessments.
• Handle routine and high-value matters with sound judgement and negotiation where appropriate.
• Escalate issues with clear recommendations to insurers and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with insurers, brokers, insureds and internal/external teams.
• Deliver high-quality claims administration and client service.
