Job summary

The Butchers Recruiter is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor for its Bilston meat production facility. You will lead production operations, ensure daily plans are delivered safely, efficiently and to target, and coach your team to achieve quality and food safety standards.

You will monitor yield, waste and process improvements, run daily briefings, and collaborate across departments to resolve issues. Overtime applies after 45 hours; progression to Production Manager is possible through

Qualifications

• Previous production supervisory experience in red meat or poultry manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards and food safety.
• Experience leading teams and driving operational improvements.
• Ability to monitor production performance and adapt to changing priorities.
• Good communication across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations and ensure daily plans are delivered safely and on target.

• Maintain food safety, GMP standards and stock controls during shifts.

As a Senior Production Supervisor, you'll lead from the front, driving standards, supporting your team and ensuring production targets are achieved without compromising quality or food safety.

Your responsibilities as Senior Production Supervisor

• Lead production operations, ensuring daily plans are delivered safely, efficiently and to target
• Supervise team performance, providing coaching, training and performance management where required
• Monitor production, quality, yield and waste, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
• Ensure food safety, GMP standards and stock controls are maintained throughout the shift
• Lead daily briefings and communicate effectively across departments to resolve operational issues
• Support production management with operational planning, reporting and improvement initiatives

What we're looking for in a Senior Production Supervisor

• Previous production supervisory experience within a red meat or poultry manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards and food safety requirements
• Experience leading teams, managing performance and driving operational improvements
• Ability to monitor production performance and respond effectively to changing priorities
• Good communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments

Working hours

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 3:00pm
• Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• 39.5 contracted hours per week
• Two unpaid 30-minute breaks per shift
• Overtime paid after 45 hours worked
