Job summary

Crown Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited in Carlisle is seeking a Production Planner to oversee a 37.5-hour week (Mon-Fri) at the Botcherby Plant. You will develop and maintain production plans, balancing customer demand with capacity and materials to ensure on-time delivery while minimising waste.

Collaborating with Sales, Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams across EMEA, you will monitor inventory, resolve bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement through ERP/MRP systems and close

Qualifications

Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
3–5 years in production planning, scheduling or supply chain roles in manufacturing.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand and capacity.
Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or excess and manage materials accordingly.
Analyse KPIs, implement corrective actions to improve planning accuracy and service levels.
Coordinate with Sales, Production, Procurement, Exports and Supply Chain teams.
Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
