Job summary

Four Squared Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Production Administrator/Planner for a packaging manufacturer in Leicestershire. Salary £30-35K, 39 hours weekly with flexible start/finish times (7:00am–4:30pm Mon-Thu) and Friday 2:00pm finish.

There is a genuine progression path toward a Production Manager position, with relocation plans next year to a larger facility. You will coordinate production schedules, materials and workflow across production, sales and purchasing to meet customer requirements

Qualifications

• Desirable - previous experience within a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or Planning Coordinator position.
• Experience within packaging, print or manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
• Commercial awareness with experience of quotations or estimating being beneficial.
• Good IT skills and experience using planning, ERP or CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
• Plan and coordinate workflow across multiple production departments.
• Order raw materials and packaging components in line with production requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available when required.
• Print production labels and complete associated administration.
• Prepare quotations for new and existing customers.
• Assist with product sampling and new work enquiries.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure jobs progress smoothly through production.
• Update and maintain production information using SPOCS CRM and the Opera Operating System.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.
• Support management with reporting and production planning analysis.
