Job summary

Safran Actuations in Wolverhampton is seeking a Senior Production Planner to support the Spares Planner Lead and ensure continuity across the team. You will coordinate with supply chain, logistics, production and quality teams to maintain strong customer delivery performance and material availability.

The role requires senior experience in materials and spares planning, with SAP MM/MRP and Excel proficiency, in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in materials planning and spares planning.
• Experience with SAP MM/MRP and Excel.
• Ability to manage escalations and drive OTIF in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or aftermarket sectors is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as deputy to the Spares Planner Lead and provide leadership in their absence.
• Drive team performance to achieve 95%+ On-Time Delivery (OTIF).
• Coordinate with logistics teams to support production and customer delivery.
• Manage material availability and escalate supply issues as needed.
• Develop and maintain production and kitting plans; address deviations proactively.

12-month contract (ongoing opportunity)

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Planner to join a leading aerospace and manufacturing environment in Wolverhampton, supporting the Aftermarket value stream.

The Role

As Senior Production Planner, you will support the Spares Planner Lead and act as their deputy when required, ensuring continuity across the team. You will coordinate closely with supply chain, logistics, production, and quality teams to maintain high levels of customer delivery performance and material availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as deputy to the Spares Planner Lead, providing leadership and continuity in their absence
• Drive team performance to achieve 95%+ On-Time Delivery (OTIF)
• Coordinate with logistics teams (stores, packaging, shipping) to support production and customer delivery
• Manage material availability and lead escalation of internal and external supply issues
• Develop and maintain production and kitting plans, addressing deviations proactively
• Manage internal order books and act as an escalation point for complex spares queries
• Work cross-functionally with operations, product support, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including continued airworthiness standards

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in materials planning / supply chain / spares planning
• Advanced working knowledge of SAP (MM/MRP) and Excel
• Proven ability to manage escalations and resolve supply chain constraints
• Experience in demand planning, production planning, and inventory control
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
