Job summary

Safran Actuation Systems UK is seeking a Production Controller at our Wolverhampton site to drive on-time delivery in line with the Master Production Schedule. You will work with supply-chain, manage lines of balance, and develop production and kitting plans to meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates have production planning or control experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with SAP and Excel. Join us to contribute to aerospace excellence and continuous improvement in a global

Qualifications

  • Experience in production planning/production control within manufacturing
  • Ability to manage schedules, material requirements and work orders
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across teams

Responsibilities

  • Work with supply-chain to ensure material supply to agreed schedules.
  • Manage Lines of Balance for each Line Replaceable Unit (LRU).
  • Develop production and kitting plans in line with customer requirements and forecasts.
  • Validate schedule to capacity (build plan review).
  • Manage work order release and closure in line with MPS requirements.
  • Inventory control and accuracy.
  • Develop weekly shipping plan in line with customer requirements and operations output.
  • Coordinate with engineering on changes and ensure on-time in full delivery to MPS.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Production team as a Production Controller at our Wolverhampton site.

Your Role

Responsible for delivering our customer requirements in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Key responsibilities
  • Work with supply-chain to ensure both internal and external supply of material to agreed schedules
  • Manage Lines of Balance for each Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) within their responsibility
  • Develop production and kitting plans in line with customer requirements and sales forecasts (Including Aftermarket, OERs & Aged WIP)
  • Validate schedule to capacity (build plan review)
  • Manage work order release and closure in line with MPS requirement
  • Inventory control/accuracy
  • Manage escalation process when a sustained deviation from plan occurs and capture turnbacks
  • Management of Engineering change introduction
  • Working with operators, production schedules, materials and equipment to ensure on time in full delivery to MPS
  • Develop weekly shipping plan in line with customer requirements and operations output

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel would be desirable, with the ability to manage production schedules, work orders, and material requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, combined with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
