Job summary

Safran Actuation Systems UK in Wolverhampton is seeking a Production Controller to ensure on-time, in-full delivery in line with the Master Production Schedule. You will coordinate with supply chain, manage LRU lines, and develop production plans to meet customer requirements and forecasts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel desirable, with the ability to manage production schedules and material requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer requirements in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Coordinate with supply chain to ensure material availability to schedules.
  • Manage Lines of Balance for each LRU within responsibility.
  • Develop production and kitting plans in line with customer requirements and forecasts.
  • Validate schedule to capacity (build plan review).
  • Manage work order release and closure in line with MPS.
  • Inventory control and accuracy.
  • Escalation when deviations occur and capture turnbacks.
  • Manage Engineering change introductions.
  • Work with operators and teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Develop weekly shipping plan in line with customer requirements.

Your Role

Responsible for delivering our customer requirements in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Key responsibilities
  • Work with supply‑chain to ensure both internal and external supply of material to agreed schedules
  • Manage Lines of Balance for each Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) within their responsibility
  • Develop production and kitting plans in line with customer requirements and sales forecasts (including Aftermarket, OERs & aged WIP)
  • Validate schedule to capacity (build plan review)
  • Manage work order release and closure in line with MPS requirement
  • Inventory control & accuracy
  • Manage escalation process when a sustained deviation from plan occurs and capture turnbacks
  • Management of Engineering change introduction
  • Working with operators, production schedules, materials and equipment to ensure on time, in full delivery to MPS
  • Develop weekly shipping plan in line with customer requirements and operations output
What You'll Bring
  • Experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel would be desirable, with the ability to manage production schedules, work orders, and material requirements.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, combined with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
