Job Description - Senior Production Planner (00126814)

Job Title: Senior Production Planner

Location: Samlesbury - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Creating, analysing, and reporting delivery data to inform and challenge performance against plans.
  2. Driving corrective recovery actions when off plan.
  3. Creating and maintaining balanced schedules to meet customer requirements.
  4. Assessing demand and capacity to inform resource solutions.
  5. Undertaking scenario planning to support decision-making.
  6. Collaborating across functions to create tactical plans to mitigate constraints (e.g., shortages).
  7. Communicating demands and impacts to relevant Supply Chain and contracts teams.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proficient in the use of IT, especially the MS Office suite (particularly MS Excel).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Possession of professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain institution at the appropriate level, or willingness to work towards it (e.g., for grade E positions, attendance on CILT Module 3 LCC3 or PCC3 and CILT membership at Affiliate level).
