Job summary

KandD Recruitment is excited to present a hands-on, mechanically minded Packaging Process Operator role in the United Kingdom. This position focuses on bottling and canning, working closely with the Packaging Lead to run the packing operation efficiently and safely in a growing business.

You will operate and maintain bottling and canning lines, monitor performance, troubleshoot equipment and carry out production checks while following SOPs and SALSA/BRC standards.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on and mechanically minded.
• Experienced within production, packaging or manufacturing.
• Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment.
• Forklift certification and FLT experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain bottling and canning lines.
• Support the Packaging Lead with day-to-day operations.
• Step into shift operator/supervisor duties when required.
• Monitor line performance and identify efficiency improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist with maintenance.
• Carry out production checks and maintain records.
• Follow SOPs and health & safety standards.
• Support broader production and warehouse activities.

Salary: GBP29000 - GBP32000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on, mechanically minded Packaging Process Operator to join an innovative and growing business.

Working closely with the Packaging Lead, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the packaging operation, with a particular focus on bottling and canning. You will also have opportunities to support wider production, filtration, warehousing, and equipment maintenance.

The Role

Operate and maintain bottling and canning lines

Support the Packaging Lead with the day-to-day running of the packaging operation

Step into shift operator/supervisor duties when required

Monitor line performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency

Troubleshoot equipment and support day-to-day maintenance

Carry out production checks and maintain accurate records

Follow SOPs and company standards relating to quality and health & safety

Support wider production, warehouse and stock operations when required

Work in line with SALSA and BRC standards

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Practical, hands-on and mechanically minded

Experienced within production, packaging or manufacturing

Comfortable working with machinery and production equipment

A confident problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude

Self-motivated, flexible and keen to learn

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Reliable and willing to get involved across different areas of the business

Forklift certification and previous FLT experience would be desirable.
