Job summary

Blank Space Recruitment is representing top venues in the West Midlands and is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead the busy venues team for high-profile live corporate events.

You will head the technical production for all events, manage technicians, quote and specify equipment, and collaborate with clients and suppliers while ensuring RAMS and Health & Safety are integrated into every planning stage.

Qualifications

• Strong technical production background in large corporate events venues.
• Experience with conferences, galas, awards and dinners.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and client facing abilities.
• Training/qualifications in Health & Safety for events.
• AutoCAD skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical elements of all events and manage a team of technicians.
• Quote, specify equipment and manage supplier costs for events.
• Plan each event from a technical angle to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Ensure RAMS and Health & Safety planning is incorporated into event planning.

The role

As a senior member of the technical production team the Senior Production Manager will lead the technical elements of all events as well as leading a team of Technicians to deliver a cutting edge experience. This is a client facing role to ensure the highest quality event delivery from a technical perspective as well as upselling technical elements whilst working with internal teams and external suppliers where necessary. Planning RAMS and Health & Safety elements will also be part of the role.

About You

We are looking for a strong technical production background ideally within a large corporate events venue setting and experience in a range of events from conferences to galas/awards and dinners. Working with the clients / organisers you will be able to quote, specify technical equipment, brief in and manage supplier costs and plan each event from a technical angle. A strong communicator you will be confident in working with stakeholders at all levels and have training and ideally qualifications in Health & Safety for events. AutoCAD skills would be highly desirable with a commercial approach to maximise revenue on each event!
