Job summary

Studio XAG seeks an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our production team in East London, overseeing planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution to deliver high-quality projects. You will manage staff, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and efficiency across all outputs.

With 5+ years in production or manufacturing, you will drive cost estimates, budgets, and vendor relationships while maintaining rigorous quality standards and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a similar role within a production, workshop, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of materials, production processes, and assembly techniques.
• Expertise in production coordination, scheduling and procurement.
• Experience in cost estimation and budgeting for medium to large-scale production projects.
• Familiarity with costing/project management tools (e.g., Synergist).
• Strong administrative skills, including creating purchase orders, tracking expenses, and updating schedules.
• Health & Safety knowledge, RAMS documentation and compliance procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of multiple production projects, ensuring on-time delivery, scope adherence, and budget control.
• Develop and communicate accurate production timelines and coordinate in-house and outsourced resources.
• Allocate and schedule production staff and freelance fabricators to meet project demands.
• Oversee procurement processes for materials, supplies, and packaging.
• Build relationships with suppliers, makers, and freelancers to expand the production network.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and RAMS management.
• Maintain quality control standards across all production outputs.
• Stay updated with new materials, suppliers, and production processes to drive innovation.
• Support workshop operations aligning fabrication timelines with production goals.
• Manage administrative tasks: POs, supplier comms, timesheet approvals.
• Implement and improve workflow efficiency, identify opportunities for innovation.
