Job summary

Studio XAG in East London is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead our production team. You will oversee all aspects from planning and procurement to scheduling and execution, ensuring high quality and efficiency across projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of materials, production processes, and budget management, with experience coordinating in-house and freelance resources. We offer a competitive £45,000–£60,000 salary, flexible/hybrid working, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in production management or similar
• Strong knowledge of materials, production processes and assembly techniques
• Experience in cost estimation and budgeting for mid-to large-scale projects
• RAMS/H&S knowledge and compliance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of multiple production projects on time, within scope, and budget
• Develop and communicate accurate production timelines coordinating in-house and outsourced resources
• Efficiently allocate and schedule production staff and freelancers to meet project demands
• Oversee procurement of materials, supplies, and packaging essentials for production
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, makers, and freelancers
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and RAMS documentation
• Maintain rigorous quality control standards across all outputs
• Stay up-to-date with new materials and processes to drive innovation
• Support workshop operations aligning fabrication timelines with goals
• Manage purchase orders, supplier communication, and timesheet approvals
• Implement and improve workflow efficiency and identify opportunities for cost savings
