Job Description:

Position Overview: Responsible for the design, development, verification, and validation, along with through-life technical support of software and ICT for test solutions.

Main Duties:

• Design of test solution software, including control and automation of test systems.
• Ensure the quality of test software and provide leadership to junior engineers.
• Develop robust and reliable test solutions from system requirements.
• Implement detailed technical items with an understanding of system-level considerations.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers on design and interfaces.
• Produce and maintain high-quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage configuration and change control of software and documentation.
• Develop and maintain test software and procedures.
• Uphold design standards and methodologies as Design Authority.
• Monitor progress and support end-users with technical queries.
• Support compliance with Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
• Lead test engineering software activities for small to medium programs.
• Contribute to resource planning and risk management.
• Interface with external customers and suppliers.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in NI LabView and industrial test hardware.
• Experience with software configuration and change management tools.
• Strong understanding of test and communication architectures.
• Proficiency in software development languages such as C, C++, C# and tools like NI TestStand.
• Good troubleshooting skills and understanding of hardware-electronic design.

Highly Desirable:

• Electronic Engineering qualifications/experience.
