Job summary

Harmonic Security is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to own and evolve the platform's security architecture, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, encryption, and multi-tenant isolation.

You'll write production code, set engineering standards, and drive threat modeling across major systems while collaborating with leads to ensure secure design at every layer.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering with focus on security architecture.
• Experience designing platform‑level security controls (OAuth/OIDC/SAML, encryption, multi‑tenant isolation).
• Threat modeling and secure‑by‑design principles applied to real architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Take formal ownership of Harmonic's platform security architecture and evolve it beyond the current focus.
• Write production code that hardens and extends platform security patterns.
• Set security engineering standards and enforce them across the engineering team.
• Manage backlog of platform security improvements, independent of product roadmap.
• Run threat modeling and architecture reviews for major new systems before they ship.
• Partner with engineering leads to embed patterns at design time and enforce standards.
• Maintain a security posture ahead of demanding enterprise customers.
• Stay current on AI agent security threats and multi-tenant SaaS security.
