About the Product & Engineering team

The Choreograph Product & Engineering team is responsible for building the technology platform that powers the way we create audiences, forecast, price, and optimise cross-channel campaigns.u00A0 It is a propriety solution which has a fast-expanding user base across markets, agencies, and clients.u00A0 There is an extensive roadmap of developments that is required to support all the use cases and channels.u00A0

The team consists of several specialist areas, all involved in product and system development, these include, product management, project management, data science, technical design, and technical account management.u00A0

Intro to the role

We are looking for a senior product leader for our Planning function. The role will work within the Global Product & Engineering team, supporting the GroupM organisation and agencies with the development of planning capabilities . This role will lead the product strategy and execution for social media planning tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our agency clients and internal teams. The work will be collaborative, working with data science, product development, and planning leads to create unified models, incorporate advanced media planning techniques, and ensure seamless integration into Choreograph/GroupM systems.

The role will be based in London and report to the VP of Product. The candidate should have extensive experience working within the advertising industry and have a proven track record of conceiving, developing, and deploying complex products .u00A0 The candidate must be particularly collaborative and work well across a matrix organisation, in many markets, and with senior executive management.u00A0

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop , own and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Social Media Planning Capabilities
  • Collaborate with social media and search teams to understand agency and practice requirements, identify pain points, and develop social media planning capabilities to meet their needs.
  • Translate client needs and gathered requirements into detailed product specifications and collaborate with the development team to build and deliver effective social media and search advertising planning products .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including technical solutions, audience & measurement, engineering, design, data science, product solutions to ensure product success from concept to launch.
  • Define and oversee API integrations to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Use research and market awareness to identify new opportunities and drive product innovation.
  • Support product adoption and engagement by developing effective product training, documentation, and user guides.
  • Monitor and analyse key product performance metrics such as user engagement, feature adoption, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key social media and search practice leads and evangelise planning capabilities

About You:

We are looking for a candidate who can display the following attributes:

  • Social media and search platform expertise: Deep understanding and experience with major social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and search (Google, Bing) platforms including advertising features, targeting options, and analytics tools.
  • Product development and management: 5+ years' experience in defining product requirements, prioritizing features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing product lifecycle, with a particular focus on social media and/or search advertising.u00A0u00A0
  • Digital advertising proficiency: Expertise in campaign planning, budgeting, targeting, and optimization techniques, including ad formats, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, and usage of related tool s (Google Search, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.).
  • Passionate about designing exceptional user experiences and are familiar with the principles of design and UX. You have experience with product prototyping processes to validate ideas and gather feedback.
  • Excellent collaboration: Effective communication, influencing decisions, and working well in team-oriented environments with various stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving: Ability to identify opportunities, address challenges, and optimize advertising performance using strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.u00A0
  • Strategic thinking and planning: Development of strategies aligned with the overall platform objectives, considering wider WPP & GroupM goals, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: Nearly all work is undertaken in English language, for which clear spoken communications are particularly important, for demonstrations, requirements gathering, and technical discussions with international audiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
