A leading digital solutions company seeks an experienced Senior Product Manager to shape and deliver local government digital products. In this 6-month contract role, you will define product vision, mentor a team, and collaborate across functions. The ideal candidate has over 10 years in product management, including experience in SaaS and public sector products. This position offers competitive pay of up to £700 per day and hybrid work in London.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a suite of local government digital products. You'll take a hands‑on leadership role, guiding product direction, working closely with cross‑functional teams, and mentoring product managers to deliver high‑impact solutions.
Define and own the product vision and roadmap.
Lead and mentor a team of product managers.
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver high‑quality products.
Conduct customer and market research to inform decisions.
Oversee the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch.
Prioritise requirements based on value, feasibility, and strategy.
Support go‑to‑market planning with Product Marketing.
Use data and insights to improve product performance.
Promote strong product practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Ideally 10+ years in Product Management, including 3+ years in a senior role.
Experience leading and developing product teams.
Background in SaaS or product‑led organisations.
Experience working with or delivering products for local government or the public sector.
Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder skills.
Data‑driven decision maker with strong prioritisation ability.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally and adapting to change.
Experience working with distributed teams.
Knowledge of cloud technologies (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS).
Understanding of UX and human‑centred design.
Experience with market and competitive analysis.
