Blakeney Point Search & Selection is assisting a well established bakery manufacturer in the Manchester area to recruit an NPD Technologist. This hands-on development role covers new product development, recipe creation, trials and launches, with close collaboration across customers and internal teams.

You will take ideas from concept to launch, organise kitchen and factory trials, support scale-up and handover to production, and manage projects to deadlines.

• NPD/product development experience in bakery, cakes, desserts or related food manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new bakery products from concept through to launch.
• Create recipes against customer briefs.
• Organise and support kitchen and factory trials.
• Support product scale-up and manufacturing handover.
• Manage NPD projects against critical paths and launch deadlines.
• Benchmark against competitors and market trends.
• Work closely with Process, Technical, Operations, Commercial and Procurement.
• Support customer presentations and product submissions.
• Ensure products meet quality, cost and manufacturing requirements.
• Identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

Are you passionate about bakery innovation and ready to take products from an initial idea through to successful factory launch?

We’re recruiting an NPD Technologist to join an established bakery manufacturer in the Manchester area.

This is a hands on development role where you’ll work across new product development, recipe creation, trials and launches, collaborating closely with customers and internal teams.

The Role

• Develop new bakery products from concept through to launch
• Create and develop recipes against customer briefs
• Organise and support kitchen and factory trials
• Support product scale-up and manufacturing handover
• Manage NPD projects against critical paths and launch deadlines
• Carry out benchmarking and competitor reviews
• Work closely with Process, Technical, Operations, Commercial and Procurement
• Support customer presentations and product submissions
• Ensure products meet quality, cost and manufacturing requirements
• Identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation

What We’re Looking For

• NPD/Product Development experience within bakery, cakes, desserts or related food manufacturing
• Understanding of the concept-to-launch process
• Experience supporting factory trials and product scale-up
• Strong organisation and project management skills
• Commercial awareness around product cost and feasibility
• Confident working cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• A genuine interest in food, innovation and bakery development
