Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer for a manufacturing business in Kidderminster. You will own projects from concept through to manufacture, and you will produce detailed drawings in SolidWorks while guiding product development from ideation through to production.

The role focuses on new product development, R&D initiatives, and continuous improvement, with close cooperation with production and operations teams to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

Are you an experienced Product Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to manufacture?

We're recruiting for a growing and well-established manufacturing business seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to join their team in Kidderminster. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in new product development, R&D initiatives, and continuous improvement projects while working closely with production and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products from concept through to manufacture.

About You

• Previous experience in a Product Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, or similar position.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and the creation of manufacturing drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and production processes.
• Experience working with sheet metal, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and product compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working closely with production and cross-functional teams.
