Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Design Engineer in Hull, offering a competitive salary and benefits. The role focuses on turning concepts into manufactured products using SolidWorks, and involves design through to installation with close collaboration with sales, production, suppliers and customers.

You will produce approved drawings, BOMs, support manufacturing, and ensure projects meet deadlines, with exposure to food processing equipment or medical equipment manufacturing desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, CAD Design or similar engineering discipline.
• Strong experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
• Sheet metal design and fabrication experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Are you a Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience and a passion for turning concepts into high-quality manufactured products?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist business where you'll play a key role in the design, development and ongoing support of bespoke engineered products from concept through to manufacture and installation.

Working closely with Sales, Production, Suppliers and Customers, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate design solutions, supporting manufacturing processes and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
