Senior Product Assurance Engineer - Manufacturing (Hybrid)

Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Product Assurance Engineer, Manufacturing, to be based in Stevenage with a 6-month initial contract. The role combines three days per week on-site in Stevenage with remaining time remote.

You will provide independent quality assurance across UK Manufacturing projects, supporting risk reduction and process improvements while ensuring compliance with AS9100/EN9100 standards within the UK Eyes Only programme.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to minimum HNC/HND in relevant subject.
• Quality professional with experience in process-based integrated management systems & business improvement.
• Experience using risk management and problem solving tools (8D, 5Y, PFMEA).
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Quality Auditing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of EN9100/AS9100.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and organising skills.
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
• Self-motivated with persistence to deliver results.
• Understanding regulatory and certification requirements.
• Understanding AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support on quality within Manufacturing UK and apply quality expertise to drive excellence.
• Deliver quality awareness and training within Manufacturing UK.
• Support programmes to achieve cost, time and quality targets and assess quality processes.
• Ensure processes are tailored to Manufacturing UK in company programs.
• Conduct independent assessments and audits, report outcomes, and close issues.
• Maintain links with QA colleagues across MBDA for quality objectives.
• Work with Product Assurance Managers to define risk reduction strategies.
• Support Process Effectiveness Review Programmes.
• Interface with Customer Representatives when required.
• Advise on SAP as the non-conformance tool and identify SAP improvements.
• Assist Non-Conformance Review Panels and issue closure.
• Analyze non-conformance data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
