Job summary

Systems Engineering & Assessment Ltd is seeking a Product Safety Assurance Engineer to provide independent, proportionate assurance across products, systems, and lifecycle activities within the Product Safety Engineering Team.

You will lead assurance across the product lifecycle from concept through to in-service support, reviewing designs, requirements, verification evidence, risks, and safety artefacts to ensure traceability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety legislation, product assurance, quality assurance, systems engineering, product safety, verification and validation, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Understanding of engineering lifecycle models and the role of assurance from concept through design, manufacture, test, acceptance, operation, and disposal.
• Awareness of safety, quality, configuration management, requirements management, and verification principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to produce clear assurance reports across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead product assurance across the lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
• Provide independent assurance of engineering outputs, designs, requirements, verification evidence, risks, and safety artefacts.
• Drive continuous improvement through audits, supplier assurance, risk management, defect investigation, corrective actions, and reporting status.
