What you'll do:

As a Senior Procurement Specialist based in Warrington, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of critical infrastructure projects by developing forward-thinking procurement strategies that drive value across the organisation. • Develop and implement robust procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives for safety, cost efficiency, schedule adherence, and quality assurance across multiple projects.
• Lead and inspire a team of procurement professionals to deliver outstanding results while nurturing a supportive and collaborative team environment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all procurement deliverables are met in line with project requirements for cost, quality, and programme timelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure alignment of goals and mutual achievement of business objectives.
• Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process, from supplier selection through contract negotiation to ongoing supplier management and performance evaluation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to capture incremental value and enhance operational excellence throughout the business.
• Ensure compliance with relevant contract terms and conditions while drafting subcontract agreements as required to protect organisational interests.
• Monitor supplier performance rigorously, managing supply arrangements and scheduling deliveries to meet project milestones efficiently.
• Utilise sound understanding of cost models, business models (including NEC), accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting, valuations, and supplier costing models to inform procurement decisions.
• Support the development of a resilient supply chain capable of meeting both functional needs and broader business objectives.

• Comprehensive knowledge of planning supply arrangements; adept at managing supplier performance metrics as well as coordinating timely deliveries against project schedules.
• Strong grasp of cost models (including NEC), business models, accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting techniques, valuations methodologies, and supplier costing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of contract law; able to draft clear subcontract terms tailored to specific project requirements when necessary.
