The University of Exeter is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to manage procurement processes with a focus on sustainability. This full-time role offers hybrid working and a chance to influence sustainable procurement solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive procurement experience and a passion for sustainability.

This new full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis for 9 months to cover for maternity leave. We will consider reduced/compressed hours for the right candidate.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
Summary of the role
As a member of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities and in the top 150 universities in the world, your procurement skills, sustainability and commercial knowledge could empower you to make a significant impact by managing the procurement of various goods and services across a range of categories.
We are seeking an experienced, creative and solution driven Senior Procurement Officer (SPO) in the Strategic Procurement team, who will be responsible for helping to drive value from procurement of goods and services whilst realising the university’s sustainability ambitions and collaborating with key stakeholders (internal and external) to develop sustainable, procurement initiatives. Sustainability training will be given.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in sustainability and have strong procurement experience, preferably including public sector procurement experience. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and deliver sustainable procurement solutions for our bought goods and services.

The starting salary will be from £42,882 up to £45,413 on Grade F, depending on qualifications and experience.
