Job summary

NWSSP - NHS Wales Procurement Shared Service is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager in Cardiff. The role is contract permanent, full-time, with hybrid working and a 37.5-hour week. Salary ranges £50,129 to £57,365 per annum, with a closing date of 30/09/2026.

As part of NWSSP's procurement team, you will lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationships and complex EU procurements, aligning with patient outcomes and value-based procurement.

Qualifications

• EU procurement and contract management experience.
• Experience in project planning, costings and purchases within budgets.
• Track record of obtaining savings and meeting business indicators.
• People management experience and leadership capability.
• Familiar with ISO policies and EFQM/benchmarking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Apply commercial acumen to deliver in the complex NHS Wales environment.
• Co-ordinate procurement activities, manage risks and ensure timely outcomes.
• Develop relationships and build consensus with key stakeholders.
