Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead on procurement activity, including higher value contracts, and provide expert advice to ensure value for money aligned with council priorities.

You will coach and supervise junior team members, sharing best practices and guiding them to build skills and confidence within a supportive hybrid environment that balances office and home-based work.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, tendering and contract management.
• Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 training (TPP) or commitment to complete within 4 weeks of starting.
• DBS check and Right to Work check; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead on procurement activity with higher value and complexity, managing supplier communications and working with legal specialists.
• Coach and supervise junior team members, supporting growth and progression.
