Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Buyer in Rickmansworth to lead procurement across projects in the Environment division. You will coordinate designers, clients, supply chain partners and internal teams to secure cost-effective, compliant procurement solutions while ensuring quality and programme alignment.

The role emphasizes supplier management, negotiation and creating robust procurement plans to drive value and on-time delivery across complex schemes.

Qualifications

• Significant senior-level purchasing/procurement experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial law and contract conditions.
• Excellent supplier management and negotiation capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Develop procurement plans for projects and programmes.
• Carry out supplier and subcontractor pre-qualification assessments.
• Prepare scopes of work for products, materials and services.
• Prepare and issue ITT documents after requisitions.
• Perform commercial and technical bid evaluations to select suppliers.
• Create, approve and issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Manage delivery of goods to meet programme requirements and budgets.
