Job summary

NHS Kent & Medway is seeking a proactive Senior Procurement Officer to support strategic procurement and commissioning across the Integrated Care Board (ICB). You will lead low to medium complexity exercises, drive value-for-money, and provide expert procurement advice to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role focuses on compliance with procurement legislation, maintaining pipelines and records, conducting market analysis, and coordinating tender processes to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Experience in public sector procurement is desirable.
• Understanding of NHS procurement governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead low to medium value procurement exercises from initiation through to contract award.
• Support procurement managers in delivering complex and high-value procurements.
• Prepare procurement documentation including strategies, specifications, invitations to tender, quotations and evaluation templates.
• Manage procurement timetables and ensure projects progress to milestones.
• Organise and facilitate tender evaluation processes.
• Coordinate clarifications and communications with bidders.
• Support contract award, mobilisation and implementation activities.
