Job summary

Manucomm Recruitment Ltd: Somerset-based role for a Senior Process Development Technologist in our NPD team. Lead from concept to factory launch, plan trials, optimise processes and ensure successful product launches.

Requires 3+ years in food manufacturing or process development, NPD project experience, HACCP Level 2/3, strong IT skills (Excel) and a proactive passion for food innovation.

Qualifications

• A Food Science, Food Technology or related qualification.
• At least 3 years' experience in food manufacturing or process development.
• Experience managing NPD or process development projects.
• HACCP Level 2 or 3 qualification.
• Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Excel.
• A proactive approach and a genuine passion for food innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development from concept through to factory launch.
• Plan and manage factory trials, first productions and product launches.
• Optimise manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency and consistency.
• Produce accurate trial documentation, specifications and reports.
• Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
• Coordinate sensory evaluations and shelf-life assessments.
• Champion food safety, quality and Health & Safety standards.
