We’re a vibrant, fast-paced food manufacturer employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots nationwide. Our extensive direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising 17 depots, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own and third-party chilled and frozen produce.
At Manton Wood, we have a team of approximately 1,700 colleagues producing sandwiches and wraps for major UK retailers including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl.

As an experienced process development technologist, you will manage manufacturing projects related to process development and line trials by:

Experience with validation and verification of cleaning processes, especially concerning allergens and meat species.
Ideally, you hold a degree in food science or a related field, along with relevant experience in food manufacturing.
Essential qualifications include Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and Safety, HACCP Level 2, Sensory Training Level 2, and Microbiological Training Level 2.
You should have experience evaluating shelf-life results, interpreting customer codes of practice, and working with various computer programs to analyze project data. Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and retailer web-based systems is desirable.
An understanding of relevant technology and key performance indicators in the business area is important. Basic GMP knowledge, hygiene principles, legal labelling, and weight legislation are skills we value, which can be developed over time.
