Job summary

Arup is seeking a senior process engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams on municipal and industrial water projects. You will guide projects from concept to detailed design and manage deliverables within timelines and budgets.

You will apply digital design approaches, contribute to feasibility studies and fee proposals, and support HazOp processes in highly regulated settings. This role offers mentoring and opportunities across energy, water, and resources sectors.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline.
Experience leading process engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget in water sectors.
Proficiency with Biowin GPS-X modelling software and related design tools.
Acting as process designer in HAZOP teams and chairing HazOp studies.
Experience developing fee proposals, PID’s, plant layouts, GA and energy/mass balances.
Ability to translate feasibility studies into plant operating and capital cost estimates.

Responsibilities

Take a leading role in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate delivery across disciplines.
Develop mass and energy balances, process data sheets, control philosophies and commissioning plans.
Contribute to report writing, feasibility studies and fee proposals; ensure designs are implementable.
