Job summary

Arup is seeking a senior mechanical engineer in the north of the UK with water utilities project delivery experience. You will provide key mechanical input to projects, mentor less experienced staff and support a pipeline of feasibility and design work across AMP8 delivery frameworks.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, pursue work-winning opportunities and contribute to innovative solutions for water and industrial water systems.

Qualifications

• Feasibility and design experience in the water utilities industry, including water or wastewater treatment and transmission systems.
• Knowledge of design tools and methods such as BIM, Plant 3D or other specialist packages.
• Strong pumping system design knowledge and best practices.
• Degree qualified, likely Masters level Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Engineer status with IMechE or progressing toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical input to water utility projects and support junior staff.
• Engage in work winning activities and build networks within the industry.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
