Job summary

The ONE Group Ltd in Northampton is seeking a Senior Production / Manufacturing Engineer to own the manufacturing processes for high-performance machinery.

You'll drive concept-to-production of complex CNC components across advanced facilities, using CAM and multi-axis machining, and lead process improvement with shopfloor teams.

Experience with Siemens NX and GD&T is preferred, and the role offers opportunities to influence the wider manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Strong CAM programming experience with Siemens NX preferred.
• Background in high-performance automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering.
• Experience in Production/Manufacturing Engineering with complex CNC components.
• Excellent machining knowledge including fixture design and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of manufacturing processes from initial concept through to full production.
• Developing and optimising complex multi-axis CNC programs using CAM.
• Designing fixturing, tooling and manufacturing solutions for high-precision components.

We're working with a leading high-performance engine manufacturer in Northampton that is continuing to invest in its manufacturing capability while delivering a number of exciting and lucrative engineering projects.

They're looking for a Senior Production / Manufacturing Engineer to join the team, taking technical ownership of complex manufacturing processes and playing a key role in how precision components move from concept through to production.

You'll be working across two advanced manufacturing facilities featuring 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining, mill-turns, lathes, grinding and automation, with design, manufacture and testing all carried out in-house.

What you'll be doing:

• Taking ownership of manufacturing processes from initial concept through to full production
• Developing and optimising complex multi-axis CNC programs using CAM
• Designing fixturing, tooling and manufacturing solutions for high-precision components
• Leading NPI and process improvement activity while providing technical support to engineers and shopfloor teams

What we're looking for:

• Strong CAM programming experience - Siemens NX would be ideal
• A background within high-performance automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering
• Strong experience within Production / Manufacturing Engineering, ideally working with complex CNC-machined components
• Excellent machining knowledge with experience of fixture design and GD&T
