Job summary

E3recruitment invites applications for a Process Engineer role in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will bring senior expertise in process design, optimisation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, collaborating with engineering, maintenance and operations to resolve plant issues.

The role requires leading capital projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and budget adherence, plus active involvement in COMAH safety reports and related assessments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Strong knowledge of COMAH Regulations 2015, ALARP and UK legislation.
• Input into process design, optimisation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Lead and deliver capital projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Lead and participate in HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID, SIL and Bowtie studies.
• Experience with batch operations, reactors and distillation columns is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering expertise across process design and optimisation.
• Troubleshoot plant issues with operations and maintenance teams.
• Lead capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
• Support process safety assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure technically sound decisions.
