Job summary

BWSC GENERATION SERVICES UK LTD in Warrington is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical process engineering support to biomass and EfW teams, including gasification projects.

You will diagnose complex plant issues, lead root-cause investigations, optimise processes, and collaborate with UK and international teams to improve fleet performance while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with practical experience in industrial plants or power generation.
• Strong knowledge of thermal power generation and biomass/EfW operations.
• Ability to diagnose complex plant issues and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on operational issues and plant improvements.
• Lead root cause analyses and incident reviews with clear recommendations.
• Identify risks and propose mitigations and long-term solutions.
• Carry out DCS investigations and data reviews to diagnose plant behaviour.
• Support client reporting and explain performance and actions taken.
• Develop processes, templates and guidance for consistent delivery.
• Support procedures, policies and cross-functional collaboration.
