BWSC in the UK Head Office, The Genesis Centre, Birchwood, seeks a Senior Maintenance Engineer to combine hands-on mechanical support with reliability-focused improvements across UK sites. You will work with site teams and engineering colleagues to optimise mechanical systems and troubleshoot operational issues.
Requirements include a mechanical engineering degree and experience in power plant environments, CMMS use, and a proactive, structured approach.

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in combining practical hands‑on engineering support with long‑term reliability and maintenance development. The successful candidate will work closely with both site teams and engineering colleagues to improve mechanical system performance, support operational troubleshooting, and help drive technical improvements across the UK sites.
Responsibilities include:
Preferably, you hold a degree in mechanical engineering combined with practical experience from industrial plants, power generation, or similar operational environments.
Ideally, you have experience working with mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, fault finding, and technical support within operating plants.Experience with CMMS, preventive and predictive maintenance and reliability centered maintenance strategies.
Experience from power plants, utilities, process industry, marine, or offshore environments is highly relevant.
You are a self‑starter who takes initiative and works independently. You bring a structured and analytical approach to your work, while maintaining a practical and solution‑oriented mindset. You are comfortable working both from the office and on site and enjoy collaborating with both operational and engineering teams.
