Job summary

BCL Legal Limited is assisting a leading international law firm in Birmingham to recruit a Senior Associate in Private Wealth. The role focuses on high net worth clients, complex cross-border planning, wills and trusts, and estate and tax planning.

You will advise families, trustees and individuals, manage cross-border matters, and mentor junior lawyers within a collaborative team. This is an excellent step for long-term career progression in a top private wealth group.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE in private client law.
• Experience advising on wills, trusts, estate administration and tax planning.
• Experience acting for high net worth individuals, families and trustees.
• STEP qualified or working towards STEP accreditation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise high net worth individuals, families, trustees and family offices on a broad range of private wealth matters.
• Draft wills, including tax-efficient wills and wills incorporating trusts.
• Create and advise on onshore trusts and wider trust structures.
• Advise on probate planning, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
• Support clients on international and cross-border tax, residence and domicile planning.
• Work closely with Partners on complex UK and international private client matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers within the team.
