Job summary

LGPS Central invites applications for a Senior Investment Risk Manager to shape and embed the investment risk policy within Private Markets. You will lead risk modelling, reporting and governance across private equity, infrastructure, private debt and property in a hands‑on, collaborative role.

The position requires strong quantitative skills, experience in risk frameworks, and the ability to communicate insights to Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Investment Risk Management within asset management or financial services.
• Familiarity with Private Markets risk frameworks, valuation and liquidity oversight.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in risk modelling and risk reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, or R for data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, oversight and ongoing development of the Investment Risk Policy across Private Markets.
• Develop and maintain the Investment Risk Universe for Private Markets (private equity, infrastructure, private debt, property).
• Prepare analytical insights, risk dashboards and policy updates for committees.
• Drive data quality and automation in risk reporting using Python, Power BI or Tableau.
